ABOUT

PANTHER PRECISION MACHINE

Panther Precision Machine started business in 1998 as a 3-person machine shop with a fairly narrow focus.  Since that time, Panther has experienced rapid growth and currently operates a 40-person shop. This growth has been achieved by providing exceptional service and value to our customers.  Today, we have over 75 customers and operate out of a 58,000 sq ft fully air conditioned facility.

While we still provide precision machining services for small to medium sized parts, over the years more and more equipment has been added to handle the largest machining requirements. There are very few shops in the upper mid-west which can offer the range of capabilities as Panther.

Panther Precision Machine has always prided itself on investing in its equipment in support of specific customer requirements. New machines are constantly being added to our fleet.

A sampling of these capabilities includes:

  • CNC Horizontals with capabilities up to 330'' X by 138'' Y

  • CNC Vertical machining centers with travels up to 120'' X by 40 '' Y with 4 & 5 axis capabilities

  • CNC Turning centers with 39'' swing and 125'' between centers

  • VTL's with 139'' swing and 59'' under the rail

  • Engine lathes with a 34'' swing and 480'' between centers

  • 20 & 10 Ton cranes throughout the facility

  • Deep hole gun drilling

  • Tube sheet drilling

Talk to any of our customers and you will find someone who looks at us as a teammate, not just a supplier.

A TESTIMONAL

FROM OUR CLIENT

Dear Tom,

Sent with this letter is our newest General Mills, Big G cereal called Frosted MiniChex. This product is made from the slitting and forming equipment that Panther Machine modified and fabricated parts for, from used equipment sent from our GMI Cincinnati plant. Your company displayed outstanding commitment in meeting General Mill's very aggressive and demanding timeframe, and by identifying a key design flaw early in the fabrication process. Through your skills we were also able to achieve significant capital equipment costs savings, by using previously used equipment. Please accept this case of product as a small gift of gratitude for your company's outstanding commitment in meeting this and all of our machining needs at GMI.

Please give a well-deserved THANK YOU to all PANTHER PRECISION MACHINE employees. Your championship efforts in all of the products you provide to General Mills, helps make us "The Company of Champions". Tom, a special thank you to you for your own personal contributions to our business results. Your ability to be flexible to changing customer needs help us meet our own customer requirements. I look forward to a continued growing business relationship in the future.

Sincerely,

Perry D. May
